About The Position

Publix Super Markets is a leading privately-owned supermarket chain in the US, known for its financial stability, community involvement, volunteerism, environmental sustainability, and commitment to diversity. As a Warehouse Selector, you will determine your own earnings based on the number of orders you complete safely and efficiently. Top performers can earn above standard pay. This role is physically demanding, involving walking, lifting, bending, and stretching, making it a great workout. Selectors pull products, place them on pallets, wrap orders, and prepare them for delivery using state-of-the-art technology. You will be instrumental in keeping the shelves stocked in over 1,400 Publix store locations. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Work a rotating schedule which includes some weekends and holidays.
Work fluctuating shifts, when needed.
Select, lift, carry, and stack product weighing 67 pounds for frozen foods and produce.
Select, lift, carry, and stack product weighing 85 pounds for boxed meat/dairy.
Stand, bend, stoop, twist, and do repetitive work for long periods of time.
Operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside of the operator compartment.
Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before their start date in the position).
Perform job duties efficiently, accurately, and safely.
Read, write, and identify and verify numbers.
Interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
Pass a Physical Agility Test (before the start date in the position), as applicable.

Responsibilities

Determine your own earnings based on the number of orders completed safely and efficiently.
Pull products ordered by Publix stores.
Place products onto pallets.
Wrap finished orders.
Prepare orders for truck delivery.
Use state-of-the-art technology to identify ordered products and their locations.
Work as a team player to help keep store shelves stocked.

In-training pay of $19.28 per hour.
Standard base pay rate of $24.10 per hour after training, with potential to exceed $30 per hour for top performers.
$.75 per hour night differential.
$.50 per hour freezer differential.
$2.00 per hour weekend differential for hours worked between Saturday 12:00 a.m. and Sunday 11:59 p.m.
