Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma/GED
  • 1 year or more in driving various PIT equipment
  • User-level knowledge of Windows and MS Office Intermediate

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain
  • 3 years or more in relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry-related field
  • 1 year or more in Training / Leadership background

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to meeting site productivity and quality goals by administering on the job training and powered industrial truck (PIT) training to all new and existing employees including cross training as needed.
  • Update and maintain various existing training documents and help create new training documents for various departments and job functions.
  • Complete Human Resource paperwork and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Coordinate department activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables.
  • Coordinate with the Group Manager Logistics for appropriate staffing levels
  • Direct staff in the development, analysis, and performance of job tasks.
  • Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist staff in resolving complex or out-of-policy operation problems.
  • Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation.
  • Coach and provide career development advice to staff.
  • Responsible for staff scheduling to include work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignments, and back-up for absent employees.
  • Perform standard work audits with new and existing employees to ensure adherence to process.
  • Responsible for coordinating safety activities for the site by working with the Safety Manager to ensure safety training is current, including OSHA and forklift training.
  • Evaluate department processes.
  • Recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process analysis
  • Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews
  • Communicate with other Supervisors and Managers
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
