About The Position

Rexel USA is seeking a Warehouse Route Driver to join their team in Garden Grove, CA. This role is responsible for delivering products to and from customers, company branches/warehouses, and suppliers using a delivery van or box truck (no CDL required). The driver will ensure deliveries are prepared efficiently, materials are correct and undamaged, and all necessary documentation is completed. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 3:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The level of the employee and their pay will be determined by their experience, knowledge, and capabilities.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
  • Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
  • Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
  • Ability to handle loads with a combined weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW.
  • Ability to handle basic issues and problems.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and familiarity with traffic and driver laws.
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • In lieu of experience, must attend company driver training.

Nice To Haves

  • Senior Truck Driver will participate in the training of entry level Truck Drivers; and provides mentorship and coaching.
  • May be required to support other Warehouse duties such as preparing and filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects and complete a daily inspection report.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, service, and alert supervisor of any needed repairs or service.
  • Adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations.
  • Load or unload vehicle, ensuring all materials for each order are correct (quantity and type) and free of damage before departure.
  • Assist in preparing orders for delivery.
  • Ensure all appropriate documentation is thoroughly completed at the time of delivery, including customer signature on delivery receipt, packing list, and branch/warehouse manifest.
  • Pick up material returns from customers, inspecting material condition and verifying quantities and catalog numbers.
  • Pick up materials from company suppliers.
  • Senior Truck Drivers will train entry-level Truck Drivers, providing mentorship and coaching.
  • May be required to support other Warehouse duties such as preparing and filling orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
