The Warehouse Recycling Associate is also responsible for using a tugger machine to process damaged products, as well as maintaining the work area clean of debris and promoting an overall safe environment; upholding all department standards and leading by example are critical aspects of this position. Your contributions will ensure the success of Group 1 within the Operations department at CITY HOME.

Requirements

Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical ability test
High School Equivalent and/or Trade School curriculum completion.
At least one (1) year of experience in a related field is required.
Tuesday through Saturday 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Work on holidays is required (4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve)
40 hours a week
Lift to 75 lbs
Tugg Bedding and Soft carts
Prolonged standing, walking
Use of safety eyewear
Use of composite-toe shoes

Responsibilities

Safely processing cardboard, which can weigh anywhere from about 5 pounds to 75 pounds. (50%)
Processing EPS, (i.e., styrofoam), using an EPS recycling machine inside the Distribution Center. (5 lb. – 30 lb.) (15%)
Blowing excess debris with a blower inside the Distribution Center in order to keep the work environment well-maintained and safe.(10%)
Processing damaged products and using a tugger to move products on carts to specific locations in the Distribution Center. (5%)
Processing wood on a wood chipping machine inside the Distribution Center.(5%)
Safely processing felt and plastic on a plastic baler machine inside the Distribution Center. (5%)
Safely processing trash in a compactor inside the Distribution Center as well as outside when the compactor is picked up, picking up debris with a snow shovel (5%)
Adheres to all assigned Standard Work and Role and Responsibilities for your role.
