The Receiving Manager is responsible for the receiving processes at NEFCO. This includes all of the associated sub-processes. The manager will plan, organize and monitor the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production shops, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so material and supplies are stored, slotted, and distributed in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external stakeholder requirements. This role also involves maintaining a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission, interviewing and recommending applicants for hire, planning and coordinating work, training, motivating, monitoring, and evaluating the performance of warehouse and receiving associates. The manager will ensure associates' ability to safely operate material handling equipment, coach, record, and discipline as necessary, and develop crew leaders to effectively oversee their assigned crew members. Additionally, the manager is responsible for maintaining an equipment structure and level to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission safely and effectively, providing appropriate equipment and racking, researching material handling equipment, monitoring unloading and staging of materials, confirming receiving reports, resolving discrepancies with accounting, monitoring paperwork flow, overseeing material movement, supplying materials to fabrication, ensuring proper storage, overseeing inventory rotation, and measuring performance. Ad hoc duties and special requests may be assigned. The manager will continually reorganize products to optimize picking efficiency and minimize errors, ensure completion of all assigned NEFCO trainings, monitor and enforce training initiatives for associates, and assist in implementing new training. This position manages all employees of the receiving department and is responsible for performance management and hiring. The manager will review direct reports’ timecards, approve timecards, work with employees to resolve errors, and review and approve PTO requests.
