Responsible for the receipt, verification, storage, and record keeping of materials received and shipped. This role involves interacting effectively with the public and Team Members, performing excellent guest service at all times. The clerk will verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments, check incoming merchandise against shipping manifests and worksheets, and inspect all incoming product for quality. They will also assist Inventory Control with the receiving process for inventoried items, receive packages from various carriers, and record received items in MMS before submitting paperwork to Accounting. Additional duties include marking materials with identifying information, moving products to storage or designated areas, cooperating with Accounts Payable and Inventory Control, preparing packages for shipment, maintaining organized receiving files, and handling all receiving and shipping functions in accordance with safety standards and equipment instructions. The position also entails performing routine clerical duties, housekeeping, maintaining consistent attendance, and performing any reasonable request made by management.
