About The Position

Receive, inspect, verify, record, store, and distribute all incoming freight, warehouse stock, instructional materials, and district purchases. Ensure all shipments are accurately received in the ERP system, discrepancies are documented, purchase orders are properly receipted, and materials are routed to the appropriate campus or department in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • A valid current Class “C” Texas Driver’s License
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Experience with warehouse receiving, inventory control, or logistics
  • Experience using ERP/Warehouse Management Systems (Tyler Technologies Munis preferred)
  • Proficient computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, barcode scanners, and other warehouse equipment
  • Strong mathematical, organizational, and recordkeeping skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in indoor/outdoor warehouse environments
  • One (1) year of warehouse receiving, inventory, shipping/receiving, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, inspect, count, and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and freight documentation.
  • Receive purchase orders in Tyler Technologies ERP and ensure accurate receiving records.
  • Identify, document, photograph, and report damaged, incorrect, short, or over shipments; coordinate resolution with Purchasing and vendors.
  • Label and route inventory to warehouse stock, campuses, or departments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and supporting documentation.
  • Track receiving for purchase orders and forward documentation to Accounts Payable when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Warehouse staff, vendors, and campus personnel regarding shipment status.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Maintain organized receiving, staging, and storage areas.
  • Assist with annual physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Prepare routine receiving, inventory, discrepancy, and freight reports.
  • Follow district purchasing procedures, safety rules, OSHA guidelines, and established internal controls.
  • Pick up orders from local vendors as needed, receive and label for campus delivery.
  • Receive and sign for incoming freight delivered to Central Receiving.
  • Receive instructional materials and assist with pulling orders for delivery to campuses.
  • Pull warehouse stock items and Child Nutrition orders and prepare for delivery.
  • Complete work orders assigned.
  • Assist with warehouse inventory, cleaning, and organization.
  • Assist with annual inventory counts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position by Warehouse Supervisor or Director of Purchasing.
