About The Position

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiver to join our beauty retail team. The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting, counting, organizing, and entering incoming merchandise into our inventory system. This position requires someone who is very detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers and prices, and has basic computer skills. Accuracy is extremely important, as the receiver will handle product quantities, pricing, purchase orders, invoices, and inventory information.

Requirements

Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory, retail, or similar experience preferred.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory or point-of-sale software.
Strong ability to work with numbers, quantities, and prices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to identify discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and products received.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, responsible, and punctual.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Good communication skills.
Ability to lift, move, and organize boxes and merchandise as required.

This person should be comfortable using a computer, checking prices and quantities, and identifying even small differences or errors. Accuracy, organization, reliability, and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Receive incoming shipments and verify merchandise against purchase orders and invoices.
Count products carefully and confirm that quantities received are accurate.
Check product descriptions, SKU numbers, prices, sizes, colors, and other product information.
Inspect shipments for damaged, missing, or incorrect merchandise.
Enter receiving and inventory information accurately into the computer system.
Compare invoice prices with purchase orders and identify any discrepancies.
Report shortages, overages, damaged merchandise, or pricing discrepancies to management.
Properly label, organize, and store incoming merchandise in the warehouse.
Maintain an organized warehouse and ensure products are placed in the correct locations.
Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
Keep accurate records of received merchandise and related documentation.
Work closely with purchasing, management, and retail staff regarding inventory and receiving issues.
Follow company procedures for receiving, handling, and storing merchandise.
Perform other warehouse and inventory-related duties as assigned.
