About The Position

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Warehouse/Purchasing - Medical Equipment Cleaner position. The Warehouse/Purchasing - Medical Equipment Cleaner person is responsible for accomplishing all shipping and receiving on a daily basis, maintaining the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion, cleans and refurbishes various types of medical equipment in an efficient, accurate manner.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Demonstrates timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience when dealing with patients/clients
  • Good organizational and customer service skills
  • Basic mathematics skills
  • Basic knowledge of home care medical products and supplies
  • Possess ability to repair, maintain, clean and package various types of medical equipment
  • Accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge or any software applications applicable to the position
  • Lift equipment from floor to work bench weighing up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis
  • Ability to read written materials, PC screen, etc.
  • Good communications skills
  • Previous computer experience
  • Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all items to be shipped on a daily basis
  • Notify appropriate parties of shipments received
  • Place all items received for stock into their appropriate locations on a daily basis
  • Monitor and maintain accurate and appropriate inventory levels and places orders when necessary
  • Generate Purchase Orders and Return Goods Authorization information when necessary
  • Coordinate cycle counts and rental inventory in branch location and stock points
  • Maintain the warehouse area in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Properly receive all items shipped to the company on a daily basis
  • Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules
  • Clean / disinfect / refurbish and perform preventive maintenance on various types of medical equipment
  • Perform functional testing on various types of medical equipment
  • Re-certify medical equipment to CMS and accreditation body standards
  • Document that cleaned equipment meets accreditation body standards in TIMS Equipment Tracking System (ETS) Notes
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, co-workers and management re: servicing of equipment
  • Drive to customer’s home to perform simple repairs
  • Some On-Call may be required after 6 months
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or needed
