Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and view production schedules, shipping work bench, in-house variety operations or 3rd party requirements to assign activities to meet customer expectations.
  • Perform partial picking or pallet picking orders on pallets slip sheets, or floor loading of trailers.
  • Label pallets and/or provide customer-specific shipping requirements before loading to trailer.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers as necessary.
  • Comply with company policies for received goods.
  • Weigh or count materials management items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Enter transactions into telnet, Oracle, or personal computers.
  • Safely operate a variety of power industrial vehicles.
  • Arrange multiple ship methods (LTL, parcel, etc.).
  • Load and unload trailers of palletized and non-palletized product.
  • Utilize manual and automated material handling equipment.
  • Prepare and take a physical inventory of all merchandise; record counts on inventory sheets.
  • Utilize the Oracle WMS cycle counting program if rolled out at the facility.
  • In conjunction with Warehouse leaders, assign job duties (receiving, storage, picking, loading, serving, and manufacturing) to warehouse crew.
  • Coordinate rotation and/or relief of specific positions, and may relieve specific positions as needed.
  • Monitor work flow of warehouse crew personnel throughout the shift.
  • Assign and reassign jobs as necessary.
  • Assign tasks, release orders, release replenishments, pick confirm orders, and dispatch orders using Oracle WMS system.
  • Follow company protocol for dispatching orders to drivers.
  • Receive materials in the Purchase Order system.
  • Start up, reboot, and troubleshoot minor issues with the scanner system.
  • Work across departments to resolve issues.
  • Train new employees in Warehousing/Receiving practices.
  • Maintain warehouse business during leader's absence.
  • Follow Leader Standard Work activities.
  • Adhere to and lead in all regulatory issues (OSHA, FDA, DOT, EPA, etc.).
  • Practice and adhere to appropriate safety and hygiene guidelines/procedures for safe housekeeping and personal protection; keep work area clean; store supplies in designated areas; keep work area aisles/exits clear and free from obstructions; remove trash from work area floor; follow instructions for safe lifting/carrying of various sizes, shapes, and weights; identify/report defective equipment; report all job-related injuries to supervision.
  • May be required to cover vacations for other leaders, etc.
  • May perform other duties as required.
