About The Position

Provides leadership for the day-to-day activities performed in the picking department. Communicates effectively regarding performance and exceptions to supervisor. Assists in all picking activities and projects as required to meet the targets.

Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent from an accredited institution
Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Operate Forklift and electric hand truck (Transportation Equipment)
Good decision-making abilities and leadership with motivational skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to efficiently network and coordinate processes
Required to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel and lift cumbersome and/or heavy objects

Responsibilities

Organize daily activities of the team
Pick all production orders on time based the schedule of the Planning Dept.
Pick all straight pull orders on time based on SAP requirements
Replenish all Supermarket, Kanban and refill areas
Print all necessary pick tickets
Maintain Accuracy of Work (correct code, quantity & quality of parts picked)
Review, report, and resolve exceptions (missing parts, rush/late orders, poor quality, etc.)
Evaluate the work load & department capacity
React & make necessary changes to maintain targets & KPI metrics
Monitor results & update the leadership team by emailing daily efficiency & exception reports
Focus on safety; train and hold team members accountable to adhering to safety procedures
Review and support supervisor to maintain, update & improve work instructions
Train and hold team members accountable to performing duties as per documented in the standard work instructions
Maintain an Organized Workplace; daily, weekly, and monthly 5S activities and audits
Other projects & responsibilities as required by supervisor
