About The Position

This position involves performing duties to pull orders for production and shipment, moving materials to storage areas and between departments, and receiving finished components for storage. The role also includes stocking MRO cage, receiving and inspecting component parts and subassemblies, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Responsibilities extend to keeping production departments supplied with in-process parts, materials, and supplies, and utilizing available storage space efficiently with proper rotation. The job requires adherence to ISO procedures, participation in training programs, and performing backup functions for other department members. Overtime is required when necessary. The role also emphasizes promoting safety rules and good housekeeping.

Requirements

  • Good mathematical aptitude; must be able to accurately count.
  • Must be able to read CAD drawings to properly identify stocked parts.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Strong quality control skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills as required to discuss training, general direction/instructions and other position-related tasks.
  • High level of self-initiative and dependability.
  • Must be flexible to perform overtime duties, adjust schedule and be willing to pitch in as needed.
  • Resourceful and highly organized with an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage, prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment.
  • Must possess a positive, respectful, "can-do" attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pull orders from warehouse storage area based on a live schedule for manufacturing jobs and sales orders.
  • Select proper quantity and verify remaining shelf quantity.
  • Apply proper identification labels and place on pallet or cart, then move to designated staging area.
  • Pull items requested or where required from stock areas and truck to production area.
  • Visually inspect materials received for defects and proper quantity.
  • Arrange storage location and maintain accurate records of available material and stock in storage areas to control in-house inventories.
  • Maintain work area, equipment, and warehouse in a clean and organized manner.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts as specified.
  • Utilize the Epicor terminal and handheld scanners for recordkeeping tasks and reports.
  • Follow all ISO procedures and guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing individual training/development program(s).
  • Engage in training of employees and cross-training, perform backup functions to other department members as instructed.
  • Work overtime when required.
  • Keep production departments supplied with in-process parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Stocking MRO cage as requested and perform transactions and cycle counts as needed.
  • Receive components parts and subassemblies; verify counts and identification before moving into warehouse.
  • Utilize available storage space in an efficient manner; arrange for materials to be rotated in proper “first in, first out” manner.
  • Stock inventory in proper location; track stocking transactions as required; consolidate and rotate according to established procedures.
  • Follow and promote safety rules, POD safety program, safe operating procedures and practices.
  • Report abnormalities in equipment, machines, programs and processes, etc.
  • Set goals and objectives with Manager; look for ways to improve quality and productivity.
  • Maintain good housekeeping conditions in work area.
