About The Position

This role involves accurately, consistently, and safely following directions to select product from a pick ticket in a refrigerated/frozen warehouse environment. The position requires operating equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks, accurately identifying and selecting cases of product from inventory, and picking, palletizing, wrapping, and scanning orders using FIFO (First in First Out). The job also includes hand stacking product in a specific sequence and location on a pallet for shipment, maintaining product integrity through proper handling and storage, and returning undelivered or mis-picked product to their proper inventory locations. The picker must be able to transport product from storage to the designated shipping area within expected time, follow all safety rules, observe safe product handling techniques, and cooperate with supervisors and peers. Adherence to the company's attendance policy is crucial, requiring employees to be on time as scheduled and complete shifts based on business demands. Additionally, employees will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on MHE and conduct cleaning and maintenance duties as directed by the warehouse supervisor. Various other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Can read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language sufficiently to perform various tasks of the job, including but not limited to; reading labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, communicating with management & co-workers, understanding oral & written instructions, accurately completing various shipping papers, reports, and records required of the position.
  • Experienced in a warehouse environment as a selector operating powered equipment to include but not limited to electric pallet jacks, forklifts and assorted MHE.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated and frozen environment with temperatures ranging from 0 to 36 degrees.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including, standing, sitting and walking throughout the shift; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting, pushing, and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting of up to 20 to 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with CK31 & CK71 scanner a plus
  • MHE and SQF certified preferred

Responsibilities
