This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. It requires strict attention to order accuracy for loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. The role involves building loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack, working from an electronic order system or order sheets, and ensuring compliance with shipper/receiver documentation. The position requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment and may involve working in a wide variety of weather conditions with variable shift durations. Specific duties include transport truck loading (moving full pallets, removing returns, unloading raw materials), bulk truck loading (selecting products, building and shrink-wrapping pallets, loading for local delivery, unloading returns), and route truck loading (selecting customized products for specific trucks, unloading returns). The role demands lifting a high volume of cases (20-45 pounds each) repeatedly during long work periods, and constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
