About The Position

This role identifies, separates, and grinds bottles that can be reused in the manufacturing process. The essential functions include visually inspecting product scrapped from production, separating rejected material into scrap and regrindable material, grinding reusable material, and reporting the weight of regrind daily. The position is also responsible for staging regrind as directed by the Production Manager, performing general housekeeping duties for the assigned area daily and weekly, and submitting reports daily. Maintaining the Food Safety Program (GMP) is also a key responsibility. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Manual Dexterity -- The ability to quickly move hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Fork-lift – The ability to operate forklifts according to OSHA standards. Must be eligible to become certified within first 23 hours of work.
  • Mechanical aptitude – The ability to use hand tools.
  • Forklift certification – The ability to operate a forklift in a safe manner consistent with OSHA standards.
  • Information Ordering -- The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
  • Near Vision -- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Extent Flexibility -- The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Wrist-Finger Speed -- The ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Multilimb Coordination -- The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds over head to total height of six feet.
  • Ability to walk and or stand for 12 hours per day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visual and aesthetic inspection of product scrapped from production processes in SBM and RHB.
  • Separates rejected material into scrap and regrindable material.
  • Grinds material deemed reusable in the manufacturing process, weighs and reports weight of regrind daily.
  • Responsible for staging regrind as directed by Production manager.
  • Provide general housekeeping duties for assigned area daily and weekly and submits report daily.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Food Safety Program (GMP).
