About The Position

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Second Shift Warehouse Pallet Loader to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for loading pallets of products onto trailers according to load diagrams or customer specifications. This position is crucial to the company's success in delivering seamless order processing and delivery. The role requires physical stamina, including being on your feet for the duration of the shift and lifting up to 100 pounds. You will also be working in varying temperature conditions, including extreme cold.

Requirements

Prior industrial vehicle experience is required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions is required.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.
Prior warehouse experience required.

Responsibilities

Prepare pallets for transport by shrink-wrapping and securing them with load bars or straps, then load onto trucks or trailers in the correct sequence per load sheet; hand-stacking when necessary.
Inspect trailer interiors for cleanliness, verify pallets are loaded onto the correct truck, and set refrigeration units to the appropriate temperature.
Maintain a clean work environment through daily housekeeping, and uphold the company's mission, values, and policies while performing other assigned duties.
