About The Position
CanFab, a division of VMC Group, is seeking a Packager to manually package materials and products, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely preparation for shipment or production use.
Requirements
- Able to read and understand simple instructions and communicate clearly in writing and verbally with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using money, weight, volume, and distance.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Familiar with power tools and hand tools
Responsibilities
- Cleans packaging containers.
- Lines and pads, crates and assembles cartons.
- Obtains and sorts the product.
- Wraps protective material around the product.
- Inserts product into containers or fills containers.
- Weighs containers and adjusts quantity.
- Nails or closes and seals containers.
- Labels containers, container tags, or products.
- Sorts bundles or filled containers.
- Packs special arrangements or selections of products.
- Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step of the packaging process.
- Records information such as weight, time, and date packaged.
