About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a 2nd-shift Warehouse Order Selector at its distribution center at 333 50th St. in Wyoming, Michigan. The starting wage is $21.90 per hour, including a $1.00 second-shift premium, with two pay raises available during the first year. Pay can increase with production speed and efficiency; the posting says selectors average 122% of their base salary.

Selectors support order processing by selecting products in the warehouse. The work involves being on your feet for 10 hours, lifting up to 100 pounds, and working in a freezer and other extreme hot or cold conditions. No prior experience is required, and Gordon Food Service provides training.

The schedule is a rotating four-day schedule, with work continuing until the job is finished. Listed start times vary by day: Sunday and Friday at 2:15 p.m., and Monday through Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to read labels, pick lists, scanner information, signage, company information, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

• Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
