Warehouse Order Selector
About The Position
Gordon Food Service is seeking motivated individuals to join our warehouse team as Order Selectors. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting orders to ensure seamless order processing and delivery to our customers. This is a physically demanding position that requires you to be on your feet for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in various temperature conditions, including freezers. While no prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive training, a strong work ethic and the ability to meet physical demands are essential. Your performance will directly impact your earnings, with opportunities to earn more based on speed and efficiency.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must pass a drug test and background check.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to be on your feet for 10 hours.
Nice To Haves
- Prior warehouse experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Select orders accurately and efficiently from warehouse stock.
- Operate equipment as needed to retrieve and transport products.
- Work in various temperature environments, including freezers.
- Meet production and efficiency targets.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Read and interpret pick lists, labels, and scanner information.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
