1st Shift Warehouse - Order Picker
About The Position
John F. Martin & Sons, LLC, a third/fourth generation, family-owned and family-friendly manufacturer and distributor of quality meat and cheese products, is seeking a Warehouse Order Picker for their Womesldorf, PA location. This role is responsible for the safe and accurate gathering of customer orders, requiring self-motivation to select orders accurately and efficiently. The order selector will pull cases and palletize them in the specified order to ensure excellent customer service. Requirements
- Must be self-motivated to select orders accurately and at an efficient pace.
- Ability to handle and operate mechanized equipment such as forklift/pallet jack.
- Ability to operate shrink wrap machines.
- Ability to operate various material handling machines effectively.
- Must be able to talk, hear, stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, and operate equipment as needed.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with warehouse order picking.
- Experience with forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Experience with shrink wrap machines and material handling machines.
Responsibilities
- Manage all pick orders and provide correct labels on products.
- Prepare pick sheets for all orders.
- Assist personnel to load and unload all containers for export.
- Verify all outbound shipments and ensure all goods are damage-free.
- Provide accurate labels on all products prior to shipment.
- Handle and operate all mechanized equipment such as forklift/pallet jack.
- Process all orders effectively.
- Organize all orders for shipment.
- Operate all shrink wrap machines.
- Operate various material handling machines effectively.
- Evaluate all amounts of orders and ensure proper weights are entered for products on the shipment.
- Maintain optimal level of security at the warehouse.
- Prepare all paperwork for various agencies.
