About The Position

Join Staples’ World Class Supply Chain Team to help deliver essential products to customers. As an SC1 warehouse associate, you may be assigned to any of four areas as needed: Order Picker, Restocker, Bulk Selector, or Custodian. The position is part-time, scheduled for 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Associates may earn additional compensation by meeting certain productivity thresholds.

Safety is a priority. Associates are expected to follow safety procedures, contribute to a safe work culture, and work in a warehouse with seasonal temperature variations. The role requires walking and standing for the entire shift and handling product weighing up to 70 pounds by hand.

Requirements

• Ability to count and use basic arithmetic.
• Ability to work the assigned schedule and be accountable for assigned tasks.
• Ability to understand and follow job requirements and safety guidelines.
• Basic English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, or carry products weighing up to 70 pounds by hand.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
• Ability to adopt safety procedures and work inclusively and collaboratively with colleagues and customers.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior warehouse or applicable experience, including fast-food work (headset use is a plus), stockroom work, working with racking systems, customer service, or package handling.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and on time to meet daily production goals, sometimes picking above ground level.
• Scan labels, cut boxes, and restock shelves to prepare the work area for the next shift.
• Select products, pull and pack totes, cut merchandise cases and/or stock products, and move full totes and cases onto a conveyor belt.
• Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, vacuuming, spot-cleaning carpets, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning furniture and windows, and collecting and removing warehouse trash.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain safe work practices.
• Complete assigned tasks and work the assigned schedule.
