Requirements

High school education or 6 months or more of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and extreme cold (non-weather).
Frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather).
Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Regularly lift and/or moves up to 25 pounds; frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds; occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 75 pounds.
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to read/write/record data and perform simple mathematical calculations as well as simple correspondence in English.
Must follow instructions, respond to management direction.
Reliable; consistently at work and on time.
Observes and follows proper safety procedures; willingness to report potentially unsafe conditions.
Must have sensory capabilities to avoid accidents as warehouse environment involves fast moving forklifts and power jack equipment.

Responsibilities

Pulls orders according to pick ticket with particular attention being given to speed, quality and safety.
Staging and building pallets.
Shrink wrapping and loading onto trucks for delivery.
Placing orders on pallets with special consideration given to maximizing product care, taking into account wet vs. dry goods and proper stacking to ensure safe transport and delivery to customer.
Loading trucks as determined by delivery schedule.
Picking short sheets.
Completing necessary paperwork by recording amounts of items picked.
Maintaining warehouse and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
Other duties as assigned.
