About The Position

Pepsi Bottling Ventures (PBV) is seeking a Seasonal Warehouse/Order Picker for its 1st shift operations. This role is crucial for supporting both internal and external customers by performing a variety of warehouse duties to meet business goals and demands. The position involves handling PBV products, raw materials, and packaging, with specific duties potentially varying by facility. This is a seasonal position, with work scheduled for Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be able to pass the forklift skills assessment and safely operate PBV Material Handling Equipment.
  • At least six (6) months of Forklift experience preferred.
  • Computer/Human Machine Interface skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Sorting and grouping skills.
  • Ability to read and understand the difference in product labels and load ticket instructions.
  • Ability to count large quantities of products and materials.
  • Ability to read/hear and understand procedures for performing work.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment with exposure to hot/humid or cold weather conditions.
  • Must be able to constantly (67%-100%) lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally (0%-33%) sit, read, climb, reach, kneel, bend, push, crawl, reach, pull cases of product, walk, and stand.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write proficient English.

Nice To Haves

  • Six (6) months of Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently pull, load, unload, sort, stage, stack, build pallets, wrap, transport, count, perform quality control checks, dump, rework, and replenish PBV products, raw materials, packaging, and other warehouse goods and materials.
  • Verify the accuracy and quality of products received from vendors/suppliers and shipped to customers.
  • Perform all check-in/check-out duties and maintain proper records (Bill of Ladings (BOLs), receivers, pick tickets, etc.) according to warehouse standard operating procedures.
  • Count returned goods (damaged, full, and/or empty) from sales and delivery personnel.
  • Safely and efficiently operate yard switchers and automatic/straight trucks on premises for loading/unloading.
  • Interact with automation systems, voice pick systems, paper pick tickets, and/or other warehouse management systems to verify and record product, build/finish pallets, and ensure accurate load outs and inventory counts.
  • Identify machine faults, troubleshoot, correct system errors/issues, and perform basic cleaning and maintenance on automation systems.
  • Safely and efficiently operate various warehouse material handling/moving equipment, including forklifts, High Speed Picking Area (HSPA) Claw, walkie-rider pallet jack, and wrappers, to store, stage, retrieve, replenish, load, or unload product and materials.
  • Safely and efficiently operate other warehouse and material handling machinery, such as floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, dock plates, and bay doors.
  • Perform all required safety and pre-trip checks on assigned machinery.
  • Perform janitorial tasks as necessary to maintain a clean and organized work area, including emptying trash, cleaning spills, picking up debris, and restacking pallets/product.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Security, and other food safety rules and guidelines.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
