About The Position

The purpose for this position is to assist in daily operational duties at the facility. Allied Seed is headquartered in Nampa, Idaho and currently employs 50 employees (including seasonal workers) nationwide. Allied Seed is part of the GROWMARK system, an agricultural subsidiary serving more than 100,000 customers across North America, Canada, and Mexico. At Allied Seed, our Mission is focused on advancing the forage, turf, and cover crop industry through a value-added pipeline of consistent and high-quality seed.

Requirements

• Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof.
• Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
• Understanding and experience with competitive adeptness, inventory management, product knowledge and proficiency.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Assists with operational functions ensuring that product is packaged at correct weight and that proper levels of seed treatment are being applied.
• Stacks, stencils, cleans, and properly tags bags on pallet.
• Maintains an accurate count of product bagged and/or boxed.
• Operates necessary machinery such as forklifts, packaging equipment, seed cleaning, etc.
• Follows Allied Seed’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
