About The Position

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials while maintaining product quality. This role involves warehousing processes such as receiving, shipping, and freezer duties. The Warehouse Operator will utilize SAP, RF scanning, and bar-coding technology to perform tasks in assigned areas and will support other material handling areas as needed. The role operates in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration. It requires prolonged standing, walking, communicating, and sensory tasks, with frequent handling of objects, climbing, balancing, and performing movements like stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6+ months of warehouse experience required.
  • 6+ months of experience operating a forklift required.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse practices and procedures required.
  • Maintains a continuous learning mindset and adapts quickly to new equipment, processes, and roles.
  • Demonstrates strong technical ability with a digital-first approach, embracing new technologies and accurately entering data.
  • Communicates clearly with all levels of the organization, follows instructions (written/oral/diagram form), and completes necessary documentation independently in English.
  • Pays close attention to detail, prioritizing product quality, safety, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Physically capable of meeting job requirements and consistently brings a positive, team-focused attitude to work.
  • Demonstrates adaptability, technical proficiency, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills while working independently or collaboratively to ensure effective and logical decision-making in diverse situations.
  • Demonstrates the physical capability to bend frequently and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), alongside proficiency in safely operating Powered Industrial Vehicles to support workplace operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Line support material handling experience is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate various powered industrial trucks within the facility.
  • Follow all GMP, USDA, OSHA, plant guidelines, and departmental policies.
  • Accurately transfer and verify materials, ensuring cleanliness and preparedness for storage.
  • Adhere to First Expire, First Out (FEFO) inventory management to maintain product integrity.
  • Correctly follow SOPs, complete required certification, and perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Support other material handling areas as needed.
