About The Position

Perform manual duties related to the movement of products and materials, and verify the physical accuracy of the shipping and receiving function. As a Warehouse Operator / Material Handler, you will complete all assigned work, including picking stock in a safe and accountable manner, and ensure associated stock accuracy where applicable during the shift. This position is located in South Brunswick, NJ. You will report to the Team Leader or Supervisor and learn new skills to stay current with the needs of the position in a changing environment. You will be trained and certified to use different types of forklifts. You will have a great educational background with experience in a food/chemical production environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move materials (frequently up to 50 lbs / 23 kg).
• Experience with forklifts or material-handling equipment (may require certification).
• Basic computer and inventory-tracking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities.
• Work picking and weighing out materials.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Move materials to storage or production areas.
• Pick and stage materials for production or shipping.
• Operate equipment such as: Forklift, Pallet jacks or Hand truck.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts.
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) or scanners to track inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work areas organized.
