About The Position

The primary function of the Warehouse Operator is to ensure the smooth transition of warehouse related activities starting from inflow of products to the time product leaves the warehouse. Functions include receiving, labelling, and locating items on racks, picking, checking, packing, and shipping.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a warehousing environment
  • Minimum high school education required
  • Forklift license required
  • Good command, both verbal and written, English skills.
  • Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening
  • Strong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externally
  • Good problem-solving skills and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize and manage time effectively to meet goals and achieve results
  • Both a team builder and a team-player
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Act as a role model for DSV values and adhere to the Code of Conduct.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
  • Basic Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

  • Cross-checking the merchandise for any damages and signing shipments upon receipt
  • Maintaining an accurate and detailed record of the shipments received and shipped
  • Checking and arranging for warehouse space
  • Assisting with loading and unloading of goods
  • Arranging for heavy machinery such as forklifts and hand carts for moving and stocking merchandise
  • Conducting regular inventory checks
  • Ensuring that the warehouse is always kept clean and safe
  • Adhoc Maintenance and updating inventory logs
  • Coordinating day-to-day warehouse activities with the Warehouse Manager
  • Adhere to all Standard operating Procedures and Polices set in place by the department and organization
  • Supports organizational commitment to ISO 9001, ISO 45001 certification
  • Perform assigned tasks to support DSV meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety, and environment and follow all requirements as set out in the DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy.
  • Staff are required to ensure that their day-to-day activities embrace sustainability, Health and safety therefore reducing the impact upon the environment, supporting the communities we work in and reducing incidents in the workplace.
