About The Position

As a Warehouse Operator you will assist with the running of the dispatch functions within the warehouse. You will prepare and process orders while you monitor stock levels and check inventory levels. Ideally you will have experience and exposure within a manufacturing environment and be open to learning the necessary trade and skills to be successful. Requirements

• Hold a valid Driver’s License
• Excellent attention to detail with strong interpersonal & communication skills
• Ability to perform manual laboring around the plant as required.
• Hold a valid Forklift license
• Manual handling of up to (20kgs)
• Be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Pre-start exercises prior to work commencing each day
• Forklift pre-start checklist daily (as required needs to change gas cylinder on the forklift)
• Cutting straps off stock and removing top sheet of ‘fence’ product
• Putting stock away (palletized and non-palletized product)
• Stacking accessories SKU’s onto shelves
• Housekeeping duties – Clear debris such as broken timbers, fibre cement sheet from floor to ensure areas are clean and safe.
• Loading products onto trucks for customer deliveries
• Receiving and checking customer purchase requests
• Filling out dockets and confirming completion of orders
• Placing gluts onto packs to assist in the loading
• Picking and loading accessories (i.e. buckets, bags, strips etc)
• Handling Top Hats, capping and other long accessories / Splitting packs (i.e. flat sheets, Trim and columns)
• Sorting through damaged stocks and strapping of packs for transport
• Any adhoc duties as required
