About The Position

As a Warehouse Operator, you are responsible for learning multiple functions within the Warehouse environment including forklift driving, checking, and tote/drum handling. Within these functions, various equipment and systems must be used to effectively and safely verify materials, deliver materials (inbound & outbound), and properly manage dunnage in accordance with internal procedures. This role involves active participation in safety initiatives, quality control, and continuous improvement programs. Key job functions include acting as a Driver, Checker, and Drum/Tote Handler, with additional tasks such as shipping FedEx packages, performing cycle counts, and supporting material movement to and from offsite warehouses. The position requires the ability to operate powered industrial vehicles, use hand-held scanners, and work with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Or GED is required.
  • At least 2 years of Warehouse experience is required.
  • 1 year of Forklift Driving experience is required.
  • Ability to pass a Background Check & Drug Test.
  • Ability to operate safely and properly handle high hazard (S-Code) materials.
  • Experience in customer service and or order fulfillment required.
  • SAP experience (6 months minimum, and version).
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Detail-Oriented.
  • Excellent Time Management skills required.
  • Excellent Multi-Tasking skills required.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving skills required.
  • Excellent Communication skills required.
  • Ability to work independently is required.
  • Must be able to lift to 50lbs repeatedly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Chemicals is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is preferred. If no Forklift experience, candidate must be willing to be trained to drive a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform multiple functions within the warehouse environment, including forklift driving, checking, and tote/drum handling.
  • Use various equipment and systems to verify materials, deliver materials (inbound & outbound), and manage dunnage.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed.
  • Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) regulation training and IATA shipping and receiving certification requirements.
  • Follow all site safety rules and procedures and participate in safety near miss reporting.
  • Complete all required internal and external training related to safety (TLMs) and CFR training.
  • Participate and support site internal and external safety audits.
  • Operate safely and properly handle high hazard (S-Code) materials.
  • Participate in Axalta continuous improvement program (Kaizen Reporting).
  • Complete assigned tasks following proper processes to ensure compliance with inventory record accuracy (IRA).
  • Support internal & external audits as necessary.
  • Understand proper loading procedures and customer requirements.
  • Understand and follow ISO-9001 and TS-16949 standards.
  • Practice lean manufacturing standards such as pre-staging shipments.
  • Understand customer sales force complaints related to job-specific tasks.
  • Pick and deliver requested stock to the production floor.
  • Unload inbound trailers.
  • Use hand-held bar code scanners to relieve and add to plant inventory.
  • Maintain area safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Confirm Transfer Orders for Outbound Deliveries.
  • Stage loads for shipments.
  • Load shipments on designated carriers.
  • Accurately and timely put stock away.
  • Perform Pallet/Bin consolidation.
  • Assist with area Cycle Counting.
  • Empty waste bins.
  • Supply production with containers, pallets, etc.
  • Check, process, and clear customers’ orders for shipments.
  • Sort, arrange, and label all goods in the warehouse.
  • Receive and examine all incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Collaborate with procurement and sales departments to ensure regular availability of goods.
  • Keep inventory or record of the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse.
  • Band and shrink wrap drums for shipments.
  • Ensure electronic and physical accuracy when receiving inbound materials.
  • Communicate with suppliers, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Control inbound and outbound trucking logistics with security.
  • Procure and deliver drums/totes to manufacturing departments as requested.
  • Inventory drums/totes on site.
  • Receive and unload drums and totes that arrive on site.
  • Load empty dirty drums/totes on trailers for removal from the site.
  • Communicate with Supply Chain inventory of drums, totes, pails to ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Accurately scan empty containers.
  • Maintain daily Kanban sheet and communicate across the plant.
  • Lift up to 50lbs repeatedly.
  • Maintain and ship FedEx packages for the entire site.
  • Perform weekly cycle count tasks.
  • Support movement of materials to and from offsite warehouse.
  • Deliver needed materials to cathodic shipping area to support production.
  • Remove new materials from Resin storage pad and place in designated receiving warehouse location.
  • Support local training processes as needed.
  • Support import and export teams for inbound raw materials or customer shipments leaving the United States.
