About The Position

The Forklift Operator Level 1 is responsible for safely retrieving finished product from production conveyors, transporting and staging materials in designated warehouse locations, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This position supports warehouse operations by ensuring materials are properly identified, organized, inspected, and stored while adhering to quality, safety, and productivity standards. The Forklift Operator Level 1 plays a critical role in maintaining efficient material flow between production and warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, (or a GED) or equivalent experience (Required).
  • Previous forklift experience (Required)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret labels, work instructions, and safety documents.
  • Good problem-solving skills, basic math skills, along with good interpersonal skills.
  • Working harmoniously with co-workers while exhibiting a "can-do" attitude is critical to success.
  • Employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a somewhat frequent basis.

  • Previous manufacturing and/or warehouse experience (Plus)

Responsibilities

  • Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Retrieve finished product bundles from production conveyors.
  • Transport and stage finished goods in designated warehouse staging areas, including 2000 P01H.
  • Stack materials neatly, securely, and safely to prevent damage and ensure accessibility.
  • Verify product placement and maintain organization within assigned warehouse areas.
  • Move materials to designated storage locations as directed by warehouse procedures.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of materials as required.
  • Inspect bundles for obvious defects, using the camera at the end of the conveyor.
  • Log the material sent back to the RW Area properly into their PC station.
  • Be able to identify the labels for each customer.
  • Keep organized and clean the staging area 2000 P01H.
  • Ensures quality by continually watching for any abnormality and reporting it timely.
  • Follows company procedures and uses material and equipment per manufacturers' directions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
