The Warehouse Operator Lead provides hands-on leadership for daily warehouse operations at PURIS. This position ensures shipping, receiving, product handling, sanitation, documentation, and equipment upkeep are completed safely, accurately, and on time. The Warehouse Operator Lead protects product quality by following all PURIS safety standards, food safety programs, Good Manufacturing Practices, and established warehouse procedures.

Requirements

High school Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of shipping experience required
Prior Fork Truck experience required
Familiarity with logistics
Knowledge of loading/unloading best practices
Must be adaptable, detail oriented, and safety oriented
Must be able to understand and independently follow through with processes
Must be able to stand for 8+ hours of your shift.
Must be able to safely mount and dismount a fork truck regularly during your shift
Must be able to lift 50 lb. bags occasionally
Must be able to work safely at heightened platforms on occasion

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of GMPs and Food Safety highly preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring that warehouse facility is kept in good repair at all times
Performs all duties in a safe manner and follows all warehouse safety policies and procedures
Completes product handling documentation according to established procedure including ERP transactions
Safely performs product handling with use of forklifts or pallet jacks
Complete all documentation as required
Ensure product quality by adhering to all food safety programs and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Perform light maintenance and upkeep on equipment
Perform and document all daily sanitation, and master sanitation duties as scheduled
Immediately report equipment issues to ensure timely repair
Manage day-to-day operations of warehouse, including: freight, returns, receiving, parcels and transfers
Maintain high levels of accuracy in daily operations
Assist the warehouse manager with printing of bill of ladings, Commercial invoice, and responding to customer appointments
Perform other tasks as assigned
