About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Operator Forklift (also described as a Material Handler) in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. The role handles medical supplies in a clean, organized warehouse and uses stand-up forklifts. Pay is $21.50 per hour, with a $2.00-per-hour shift premium and a $0.75-per-hour increase after six months. Pay is weekly. The schedule is second shift, Wednesday through Saturday, 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., with a half day on Wednesday.

The position performs warehouse fulfillment and material-handling work, including operating forklifts, handling products and paperwork, and supporting an automated packing system. Ryder describes its facilities as focused on safety and continuous improvement. Safety gear is provided, and paid training and support are offered.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator's license and certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within the performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load and unload trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork, including picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects of the automated packing system during core production shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
