Warehouse Operative
About The Position
This role is responsible for controlling parts and supplies through various paths within the warehouse. The operative will be cross-trained in shipping, receiving, picking orders, and inventory movement and transfers. A key aspect of the job is learning and utilizing the company's computer software to track all parts and supplies. The position requires strong organizational skills, adherence to a plan and schedule, and maintaining a tidy workspace. Safety is paramount, and the operative must follow all safety guidelines and operate equipment in a safe manner. Effective professional interaction and communication with others are also essential.
Requirements
- Comfort using computers to track, move and tag inventory
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to quickly switch between tasks
- Ability to operate tools such as a pallet jack
- High School or equivalent required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems preferred
- Previous forklift training is a bonus
