About The Position

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., is an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants with over 100 years of experience. This position is responsible for overseeing and supervising a work group to meet department goals, providing leadership, conducting interviews and training, supporting safety programs, and assisting with process improvement initiatives. The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 5:00 pm - 3:30 am, with 10-hour shifts, providing Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may require overtime.

Requirements

  • 3 years of related experience
  • Skills and experience sufficient to supervise assistant receivers and helpers
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems
  • Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice
  • Good memory and scanning abilities
  • Good communication and math skills
  • Able to lift up to 65 lbs. with the proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis
  • Able to learn to use a forklift
  • May require valid drivers license and conformance with company driver policy
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require U.S. Venture’s sponsorship to continue to work legally in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and supervise a work group to meet department goals.
  • Provide leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
  • Provide measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance, and recognition for achievements.
  • Conduct interviews, hiring, and training as necessary.
  • Support safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all associates.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular meetings to ensure personnel are well informed of policies and procedures.
  • Continually enforce productivity standards.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and communication.
  • Check in product completely and accurately.
  • Stock products correctly.
  • Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries.
  • Load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety.
  • Inspect and physically count returned merchandise.
  • Restock inventory in appropriate place.
  • Handle paperwork for all warranty product.
  • Unload customer/inventory transfers from corporate warehouses.
  • Operate power equipment, including fork-lift.
  • May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed.
