About The Position

Oversee and supervise a work group to meet department goals. This role involves providing leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication. The supervisor will offer measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance, and recognition for achievements. Responsibilities include conducting interviews, hiring, and training as necessary, supporting safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements, and maintaining a safe working environment. The position also involves assisting with process improvement initiatives, conducting regular meetings to ensure personnel are informed of policies and procedures, and continually enforcing productivity standards. Ensuring excellent customer service and communication is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • 3 years of related experience
  • Skills and experience sufficient to supervise assistant receivers and helpers
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems
  • Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice
  • Good memory and scanning abilities
  • Good communication and math skills
  • Able to lift up to 65 lbs. with the proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis
  • Able to learn to use a forklift
  • May require valid drivers license and conformance with company driver policy
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)

Responsibilities

  • Check in product completely and accurately
  • Stock products correctly
  • Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries
  • Load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety
  • Inspect and physically count returned merchandise
  • Restock inventory in appropriate place
  • Outbound freight of vender returns
  • Paperwork for all warranty product
  • Unloading of customer/inventory transfers from corporate warehouses
  • Operate power equipment, including fork-lift
  • May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed
