Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. This role coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business support, technical or production staff in an assigned area. It sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinates work activities with other supervisors. The supervisor applies expertise to solve standard and non-standard problems within their area, role models Cardinal Health's high ethical standards and code of conduct, and provides direction in discussing and creating development plans. They also provide input into the succession planning process for their work area, align individual goals with work area/functional goals, and build the confidence and respect of others through a positive and energizing style. The role works within budgetary/financial objectives set by the manager, applying knowledge of profit drivers to work processes. They build customer relationships, interpret customer needs, and assess their business requirements, resolving day-to-day or routine problems using defined processes. The supervisor also works/brainstorms with the work team and provides suggestions for solutions that contain the appropriate level of risk, ensuring the work team understands and supports the focus on operational excellence.
