Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Work with Warehouse Supervisor to establish operational procedures for warehouse activities
  • Handling and disposition of materials
  • Inspects the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment
  • Prepare work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement of equipment, when necessary
  • Monitor inventory levels
  • Confers with Warehouse Supervisor, Branch Manager & Departments to ensure coordination of warehouse activities
  • Assist in the direction for salvage of damaged or used material
  • Participate in the planning of warehouse personnel safety
  • Assists the Warehouse Supervisor with all warehouse activities including cycle counting, receiving, picking, and shipping.
  • Work with Warehouse Supervisor to develop a team, identify employee-training needs and provide proper instructions to ensure procedures are followed
  • Document disciplinary actions, when necessary
