About The Position

The Warehouse Operations Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting the flow and optimization of a department or process within the fulfillment or distribution center. This role will support an Operations Manager to assist with start of shift equipment and team member readiness, monitor productivity and other metrics throughout the day, lead safety and other operational/program tasks, end of shift duties, and support process and flow related opportunities as they arise. A day in the life… Support the department in achieving business results for overall safety, quality and performance, while driving efficiency, flow, and problem-resolution. Assist team members by creating daily assignments and project actions, and moving or reassigning team members throughout the day, to ensure expedites or other business priorities are met. Communicate department results to team members and inform the operations managers of hourly goals and progress. Complete safety observations and model safe behavior and judgement. Communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with other support teams such as safety, facilities, ICQA, and training to meet the needs of the business. Complete daily work tasks and trackers to promote a strong hand-off between shifts and provide feedback and observations to Operations Managers and other building leaders. Assist with leading start of shift meetings, updating communication boards, support end of shift duties, and actively listening to team members.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of warehouse experience in a fulfillment or distribution center
  • Well-developed and proven time management skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Deep understanding of multiple warehouse departments, processes, and programs, and can speak to the flow of a warehouse
  • Maintain a sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Strong proficiency in technical systems including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and WM (i.e. Manhattan, Fishbowl, NetSuite)
  • Excellent customer service and team player attitudes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
