About The Position

The Warehousing Operations Coordinator is responsible for the shipments of parts to and from our warehouse. This role will provide support in daily freight shipments to meet all DOT hazmat requirements, receiving, inspecting, and properly storing incoming parts to ensure easy accessibility and retrieval, as well as being a resource to internal teams to source and retrieve service parts.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of logistics, retail, or customer service experience.
  • Ability to lift varying weights, not always on a regular basis from 1-50 lbs. Two employees can help support heavier weights.
  • Computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Hazmat cert is preferred.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and ship parts orders.
  • Receives, verifies, inspects, and accurately stores incoming parts for easy accessibility.
  • Warehouse transfers between departments.
  • Delivery of Service Parts Requests.
  • Pull parts to deliver to the production floor / or create kits.
  • Check-in Returns of Parts orders.
  • Facilitate the shipping of supplier returns.
  • Parts Labels & shelf coding.
  • Select appropriate carriers/truckers to meet operational needs, both domestic and international, and complete necessary shipping documentation per DOT hazmat requirements.
  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet the DOT hazmat requirements.
  • Prepare daily order shipments by performing the necessary functions of picking the parts, properly packing them, and then shipping them through the Carriers, UPS, or FedEx Portal in conjunction with our ERP system.
  • Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: compare and identify information; count, weighs, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Receive and unload incoming materials, verify quantities shown on packing slips to actual items received and match to the original purchase order and part number; document location for entry into the ERP system and create new locations for new parts.
  • Conduct a visual inspection of parts and documentation of any shipping damage; report damaged goods to the vendor and work in conjunction with the vendor to resolve damaged issues.
  • Facilitate supplier returns; obtain return materials authorization (RMA) and properly package parts for return to the supplier.
  • Deliver service parts upon request or as necessary.
  • Daily review of Kit inventory and building of kits as needed.
  • Perform warehouse transfers by pulling parts and moving them from one warehouse to the next and performing transfer functions within our ERP system.
  • Work in conjunction with other shipping personnel to ensure all parts labels are accurate and create new labels for parts that are moved or new to the warehouse.
  • Ensure the department is orderly and organized by maintaining the 5S standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
