About The Position
Responsible for accurately selecting, picking, and organizing orders for distribution. Meet established productivity standards of 100 cases per hour upon completion of the training period. Maintain a zero-error environment by minimizing shorts, mispicks, and weight discrepancies. Perform all picking activities in accordance with WMS best practices, including scanning product barcodes and carton weight labels. Handle products with care to prevent damage during picking and pallet-building processes. Develop product knowledge to support troubleshooting and operational efficiency. Gain proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Learn and adhere to ISO standards and 7S Lean practices. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with billing staff and management. Cross train in various warehouse functions to support operational needs. Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment such as safety vests and safety shoes. Demonstrate strong communication skills.
Requirements
- Six (6) months of experience in a warehouse
- One (1) year of experience in warehouse that includes picking and packing, loading and unloading of trucks, and use of an RF scanner/scan gun
- Six (6) months of experience operating a ride on pallet jack (excluding walk-behind models)
- Demonstrated reliability through consistent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational needs on short notice as required
- Lifting and packing boxes from 100 pounds and down
