About The Position

Johnson Brothers is a national family-owned wine, spirits and beer distributor with a history of providing exceptional service since 1953. The Warehouse Night Floor Lead Associate plays a key role in assisting the manager with training new hires, managing bulk order pulls, influencing and motivating peers, and performing other essential warehouse functions. This is a physically demanding role requiring team members to repeatedly move stock manually and with equipment throughout the shift. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, starting at 5:30 pm until business needs are met.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Warehouse experience
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with warehouse equipment including forklifts, stock pickers and pallet jacks
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient knowledge of Warehouse management systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Ability to safely lift 40-60 lbs. REPEATEDLY
  • Must be able to work assigned hours, Monday - Friday
  • Must be available to meet scheduling requirements which may include additional hours/days without advance notice
  • Must be able to endure prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Train new employees on proper picking/palletizing techniques for bulk orders
  • Pick nightly bulk orders
  • Verify all applicable bulk orders for accuracy
  • Collect all inspection reports weekly and report exceptions to management
  • Inspect all equipment used nightly to ensure proper hookup and debris removal
  • Maintain both large cardboard compactors/making bales
  • Train new employees on baler operation
  • Maintain RSC circulation to modules as needed
  • Ensure pallet processing
  • Ensure that proper housekeeping is used throughout warehouse when picking orders
  • Load bale trailer
  • Load branch pallet orders
  • Train jackpot operators
  • Backup truck jockey
  • Assist as needed with picking/quality control
  • Act as a liaison between employees and managers
  • Influence and motivate peers to achieve goals
  • Assist manager with directing workflow
  • Assist manager with monitoring employee(s) productivity and accuracy to ensure efficiency
  • Meet productivity goals for the position
  • Be proficient in all work areas for the shift
  • Utilize warehouse management system to locate product in the warehouse while ensuring inventory accuracy and control
  • Safely operate various warehouse equipment including forklifts, stock pickers, and pallet jacks, to load, unload, and move product
  • Ensure a safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
