Warehouse Merchandise Handler, Full-Time
About The Position
The Dufresne Group, the largest licensee of Ashley in Canada, is seeking a Warehouse Merchandise Handler for their Whitby store. This full-time position is for an immediate staffing need and involves assisting with all aspects of visual presentation for home furnishing products in stores. Key responsibilities include warehousing, customer service, pickups, movement of goods, merchandising, and store maintenance, including the exterior of the building. The role also entails receiving and preparing products for floor placement or delivery, maintaining accurate inventory documentation, loading and unloading freight trailers, and keeping the warehouse area organized and clean. Requirements
- Ability to work during retail hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
- Experience with MS Office products and ability to learn in-house inventory management system
- Physically fit, able to lift and move objects up to 100 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months to 1-year related experience
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and accurate support related to visual presentation, warehousing, customer service, pickups, movement of goods & merchandising
- Be responsible for store maintenance - including the exterior of the building
- Receive product and prepare outbound shipments
- Prepare product for floor placement or delivery
- Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation
- Load and unload freight trailers
- Keep the warehouse area organized and clean
