About The Position

Our client, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Warehouse / Materials Lead to oversee the day-to-day flow of materials throughout the facility. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong warehouse and inventory background in a manufacturing environment who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using computers and inventory management systems. The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory control, maintain organized documentation, support production by ensuring materials are available when needed, and provide leadership to warehouse personnel.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of warehouse or materials experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong inventory management and inventory control experience.
  • Experience with ERP or computerized inventory systems.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, and move throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with cycle counting and physical inventory.
  • Shipping and receiving experience.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily warehouse and materials operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, movement, and issuance of materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are entered accurately into the ERP/inventory management system.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
  • Work closely with Production, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to ensure material availability.
  • Train, mentor, and assist warehouse personnel while promoting a safe and productive work environment.
  • Maintain an organized warehouse and ensure materials are stored properly.
  • Follow company safety policies and warehouse best practices.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy.
