About The Position

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for the safe movement, storage, and organization of materials within the warehouse. This includes loading, unloading, and transporting materials using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. The role supports the timely movement of materials between warehouse storage locations and production areas while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. Employees must be able to follow standard work instructions and meet daily productivity and quality expectations. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to support continuous improvement efforts.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 6 months of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, fabrication, or general labor environment is preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Receive, organize, store, and replenish materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Move materials between warehouse storage and production areas to support manufacturing operations.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Read and follow verbal and written work instructions, product labels, and standard operating procedures.
  • Meet daily productivity, quality, and accuracy standards.
  • Report quality, equipment, process, or material issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by following 5S principles.
  • Help minimize material waste and support efficient warehouse operations.
  • Provide hands-on training and support to team members as needed.
  • Participate in department meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work overtime as needed to support business and production requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
