About The Position

SMS Staffing is hiring immediately for a Warehouse Material Handler in Waukegan, IL. We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Material Handler to join our team in a fast-paced metal stamping environment. This role is responsible for moving, storing and spacing materials as directed. Maintain inventory for stock moved from the assembly departments to the warehouse.

Requirements

• Reading and comprehension of all required warehouse paperwork.
• Knowledge of inventory control process.
• High level of attention to detail for proper documentation to maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Must be able to obtain license for forklift.
• Ability to use and operate handcarts, pallet jacks and order pickers.
• Proficient with computers to reference inventory counts.

Responsibilities

• Move material from the warehouse to the production lines.
• Cycle count of inventory in the warehouse stock area.
• Move material from the warehouse staging area to stock.
• Follow OSHA and Company safety standards.
• Must wear personal protective equipment such as ear and eye protection.
• Other duties as assigned.
