Seasonal Warehouse Material Handler - 3rd Shift
About The Position
Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Seasonal Warehouse Material Handler for their 3rd shift operations. This role is crucial for accurately labeling, sorting, palletizing, and wrapping product for shipment, as well as safely loading product onto the correct carriers. The position is located at the Indy North Distribution Center and offers overtime opportunities during the summer months. This seasonal role is expected to last through the facility’s peak season (June-September), with potential for full-time employment opportunities post-season. Requirements
- Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience
- Basic math skills for accuracy in order picking
- Proven success working in fast-paced, physically demanding seasonal periods
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop throughout duration of 8 to 10-hour shift
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) to be able to collaborate with team members and follow direction from leadership
- Steel toes required

- This position requires continuous and repetitive lifting of boxes weighing 50lbs+
Responsibilities
- Accurately label, sort, palletize, and wrap product for shipment
- Safely load product to correct carrier for shipment
- Communicate with supervisors regarding discrepancies, damage, or order issues
