About The Position
The Warehouse Material Handler works with the warehouse coordinator in the Milwaukee Shop on acquisition and distribution of materials and helps coordinate workflow within the Receiving Department. The position operates in a manufacturing/warehouse environment and supports the coordination of shop materials with the Mill manager and warehouse coordinator. Duties and responsibilities may change, and reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of previous warehouse experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in problem solving and analysis.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, organize, and implement alternate solutions to challenges.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Previous forklift experience.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical/musculoskeletal exam, drug screening, and audiogram test.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Complete incoming inspections against purchase order size and quantity.
- Operate a forklift.
- Report delivery discrepancies to the warehouse coordinator.
- Report material damage at delivery to the warehouse coordinator.
- Stage deliveries in designated racks or areas for later distribution.
- Pull raw materials from the warehouse to fulfill orders.
- Deliver pulled orders to the designated machine for processing.
- Partner with the Mill manager and warehouse coordinator to coordinate shop materials.
- Help manage stock material levels on a biweekly basis.
- Help cycle count inventory on a quarterly basis.
