About The Position

Richelieu Hardware is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler for their Barrie, Ontario branch. This role involves providing superior customer service, assisting with order fulfillment, loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts, and maintaining inventory integrity. Requirements

  • Current Forklift Certification.
  • Good knowledge of safe working procedures.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding work environment.
  • Professional, courteous, and punctual with a focus on customer service.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
  • Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years previous warehouse work experience.
  • Good communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skills.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Experience and knowledge in building materials.

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service and retrieve orders.
  • Assist in gathering materials to build loads/orders.
  • Assist truck drivers to load various building supplies onto trucks for delivery.
  • Operate forklifts once training and certification has been achieved.
  • Help unload transport trucks with product.
  • Practice proper material handling techniques to ensure minimal damage to inventory.
  • Keep the workspace area clean and presentable in appearance.
