About The Position

Performs a variety of duties in the warehouse, with a primary focus on safely operating a forklift. This role involves loading and unloading trucks, moving finished goods, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment. The position requires adherence to safety rules and company policies.

Requirements

High school plus additional training preferred.
Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions.
Ability to speak, read and write in English.
Certified forklift operator.
Visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
Eye/hand/foot coordination to operate forklift.

Responsibilities

Completes Pre-Operational Checklist each day before operating lift and reports any damage or malfunction to the supervisor.
Operates forklift at a reasonable and prudent speed, being aware of pedestrians and other vehicles.
Operates forklift to load and unload trucks with finished goods, move goods between warehouses, and prepare goods for customer transport.
Delivers oldest code date finished goods to the order picking area.
Hand stacks cases of finished goods on pallets.
Maintains and accurately reports data for all merchandise movement.
Delivers incoming merchandise to the proper department within the warehouse.
Cleans warehouse floors, trailers, loading docks, and exterior areas.
Keeps the warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion.
Follows safety rules and company policies.
Assists in counting finished goods for inventory and reports counts.
Performs duties of Order Puller and Warehouse Rework Laborer as needed.
Stoops and bends in some job tasks.
Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
Receives instructions from supervisor and performs other work as directed.
