Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • A minimum of 3 full months of documented experience as a certified fork lift/heavy lift driver will be accepted in lieu of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous powered industrial truck (PIT) experience.
  • Must obtain proper powered industrial truck (PIT) certification during initial training phase.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all measures, whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Attention to detail and good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Competent and trustworthy to comply with federal inspection programs and company safety and health policies.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Be available to work scheduled hours, which may include mandatory overtime, depending upon production demands.
  • Ability to wear proper PPE for work environment.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience in Meat Industry is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with all aspects of warehouse functions.
  • Ensures work is completed in a safe manner and within established quality parameters.
  • Receives materials into the warehouse, including unloading trucks and product check-in with proper markings (Product Code, Count, Date Received, Lot Tags).
  • Organizes and puts away new receipts.
  • Documents material movement accurately on BOLs, trailer load documents, packing lists, and transfer lists, including identification, count, signature, and date.
  • Assists with receipt entry and processing.
  • Ensures accurate inventory counts of materials.
  • Notifies departments of package receipts and delivers to the appropriate office location.
  • Prepares and loads/unloads Transfer Lists onto trailers for future production, verifying correct product and documenting lot information.
  • Enters product transfers and adjustments.
  • Maintains housekeeping during and at the end of the shift.
  • Assists with inventory receipts and accuracy.
  • Performs inventory placement and storage.
  • Conducts inventory verification.
  • Works in non-climate-controlled warehouse conditions.
  • Maintains good housekeeping of warehouse and inventory locations.
  • Walks and stands on concrete floors for long periods.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
